Amarillo CPA and Bookkeeping AlternativeHow a first call actually works
These pages are general reading until both sides sign a written engagement. Naming the cattle year on a free call still leaves both sides free to walk away.

Who these terms are with
Services on this site are provided by Steven Palmieri, Dallas, Texas. Using this site means you accept what is on this page. What is and is not done in this practice is set out in full on the Disclosures page, and those limits are part of these terms.
What the pages are for
Everything published on this site is general information for owners. It is not advice about your own herd, and reading it does not make you a client. Tax and reporting rules change and land differently on different facts, so confirm anything that matters for your return before you act on it.
A free call creates no engagement
The short call offered on this site creates no engagement, no ongoing duty, and no obligation on either side. We will say plainly what we see and what an engagement would involve, including when the honest answer is that you do not need one yet. Work begins only when both of us sign a written engagement letter naming the scope and the fee.
Scope, fee, and a way to stop
Every engagement is defined in writing before it starts. Fees are quoted for that scope, and anything outside it is quoted separately before it is done. Either of us may end an engagement in writing. You remain responsible for fees earned to that date and your records are returned to you.
What the work needs from you
The work is only as good as the months it is built on. You are responsible for giving us complete and accurate records, for the accuracy of what is in your own systems, and for the decisions you make. We will tell you when something does not tie, and we will not build a return on a month that has not closed.
The pages themselves
The words, layouts, and images on this site belong to the practice that publishes it. Readers may print and quote these pages with attribution. You may not republish the site or use it to train a product without written permission.
The site is provided as it is. We keep it accurate and available, and we do not promise it will never be wrong or never be down. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
Which law governs
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Texas, and any dispute belongs in the courts of Dallas County, Texas.
A question about a cattle year, a county notice, or the date a machine went to work is still general reading until a scope is signed. If a page states a fact wrong, the phone in the footer is how that correction gets made on the page.
